The search for Auður

A young woman is sent away from her village with a boat. The reason is vague but the boat sinks and the young woman drowns. Sixty years later, her grandchild Nanna, is graduating from a diving school. She gets an unexpected letter from an old sailor in Iceland, a kind of a confession. She persuades her friends to travel with her to Iceland to search for the shipwreck and find out what really happened.
